Holy shitballs, my framerates jumped from like 32 to 50 on a Blue and White
with a Rage 128.  Same settings I'm pretty sure.  The gamma is a real help.
.9 or .95 looks just about perfect for me.  I'd vote to keep the same
"gamma" cmdline, because that's how a lot of people are probably used to
changing the settings.  Though both might be nice.
