[MacGLQuake] another framerate problem

Alright, I am almost certain the problem is related to the number of model entities (not necessarily the model polycount) being displayed at a time.  I was wrong about the exact location in neh2m2; it occurs right around the ladder and bridge before the big church (there is no elevator).  After killing all the monsters and picking up all the items in the area, the entity framerates fell by about 2000, and the problem went away.  Later on in the level, with many enemies being rendered, the problem appeared again.  After killing them, and waiting for their models to disappear, the framerate drop went away again.  So it's definitely entity related.  My level I mentioned was lit entirely by walltorches and flames, btw.  Is this some kind of internal limit in GLQuake?
